Peter Peter Pumpkin Eater Day 2

Second day of Peter Peter Pumpkin Eater, and the kids were still excited! They sure do love happy school.
We colored and stuff.
We also painted mini pumpkins. Too cute all in their undies.
The kids loved it, but it was a little too short lived for the amount of clean up. A bigger pumpkin would have been more worth it.

Happy Halloween!

Peter Peter Pumpkin Eater

Today for Happy School the Rhyme we built our lesson on was Peter Peter Pumpkin Eater.

Peter Peter Pumpkin Eater,
Had a wife and couldn't keep her.
He put her in a pumpkin shell
and there he kept her very well.

During our first circle time, after the usual welcome song etc..., we used a pumpkin and wife puppet to act out the song. Then I had each of the kids take turns sitting in the pumpkin shell.

The kids loved sitting in the pumpkin shell and did very well taking turns. Of course snacks were had by all.

During the second circle time we cut orange paper strips and glued them onto an outline of a pumpkin. We ended with some free play and story time. A successful day!
